He was predeceased by: his parents, William H. Hamby and Minnie Hamby; his siblings, Lloyd Hamby, Marie Bunton, Nell Stewart, Betty Jo Williams and Mae Odom; and his pet Winnie.
He is survived by: his wife Charlotte Hamby; his children, Terri Hamby-Hager (Chris Hager), Karen Hamby Hughes (William "Eddie") and Bobby Hamby (Melinda Chaber); his grandchildren, McKenzie Hughes Miller (Matthew), Jared and Carli Hamby; his great grandchildren, Kyndall and Charlotte Miller; and his sister Maxine Woods. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
