He was predeceased by: his parents, J. Deal Elliott and Margaret Elliott; and his wife Marie Love Elliott. He is survived by: his siblings-in-law, J. D. Elliott and Christine Elliott; and his children, Dennis Elliott of Elizabethton and Robin Sutherland (Tim) of Haysi, VA. He is also survived by five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
