It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruth Wilson Nave of Elizabethton, Tennessee, who passed away on February 15, 2024, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Hobert Wilson and Bell Wilson (Loudy); her husband Willie L. Nave; her grandchildren, Curtis Blaine Hyder, Jr. and Tina Renee Hyder; her son-in-law Larry Shorter; and her stepgranddaughter Sharon Griffith Compton.
She is survived by: her children, Gary Nave (Mary) of Las Vegas, NV, Pat Shorter of Elizabethton and Patricia Bradford (Bill) of Elizabethton; her grandchildren, Heather Bradford Merritt and Michael Nave; her great grandchildren, Emily Merritt and Austin Hyder; and her stepgranddaughters, Susan Harris, Sandy Simmons, Nikki McCallister, Summer Fields and Lindsey Mussard. She is also survived by her grand-dogs; several step-great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and other family members.
