With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Shirley Scott of Elizabethton, Tennessee, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 3, 2025 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, John Nidiffer and Georgia Nidiffer; her son Michael Lynn Scott; and her siblings, William Nidiffer and Wilma Hoffman.

She is survived by: her children, Tammy Ward (Dennis) of Elizabethton and Jerry Lee Scott of Bluff City; her daughter-in-law Alicia Scott; her grandchildren, Alec Freeman (Bailey), Dawn Ward (Brit Dennis), R. D. Ward, Sara Watson (Anthony), Ashley Scott, Autumn Scott and Jackson Scott; and her siblings, Gary Nidiffer (Lisa), Rick Nidiffer (Becky), Donley Nidiffer (Joann) and Sheila Nidiffer. She is also survived by many other family members and friends.
