She was predeceased by: her mother Virginia Peters; her husband Marion Leon Montgomery; her daughter Kim Markland; her siblings, Brenda Vines Murillo and Darrell Peters; and her grandchildren, Rickie Berry and Hunter Markland.
She is survived by: her children, David Markland, II (Heather) of Gray, TN and Heather Odom (David) of Elizabethton; her grandchildren, Josh Berry, Zach Shiflett (Hannah), Magdalyn Odom, Austin Markland and Rickie Odom; her great grandchild Callaway Shiflett; and her siblings, Evelyn Cole, Shelby Guy, David Cole, Junior Cole, Roger Cole and Eddie Peters.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Emmert Cemetery (107 Keenburg Rd, Elizabethton, TN 37643).
