He was predeceased by: his father Basil Wesley Buckles; his grandparents, Alfred (Big Alf), Jane Buckles, Reverend John Pierce and Amanda Pierce; and his mother Akard Buckles.
He is survived by: his wife Georgia Katherine White; his children, Tammy Buckles Wilson, Curtis Buckles, Kent Buckles and Laura Tester; his grandchildren, Leah (Stuart Williams), Lukas Wilson, Garrett Buckles, Ryan Buckles and Brandon Buckles; and his great grandchildren, Ella and Jackson Williams.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Lynn Valley Baptist Church Building Fund, 1367 Broad Street, Elizabethton, Tenn. 37643.
