He is survived by: his children, Thomas A. Powers, Jr. (Vicki) of Knoxville and Patty Powers (Robert McCormick) of Hardeeville, SC; and his granddaughters, Tori Hughes (Matthew) and Tessa Powers Hull (Joseph). He is also survived by Several nieces, nephews and other extended family.
