With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Thomas Harry Penix of Elizabethton, Tennessee, who passed away on November 30, 2025 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Lee Penix and Julia Pauline Penix; his former wife Carole Penix; and his siblings, Chester Clyde Penix, Raymond Penix and Nellie Miller.
He is survived by: his wife Brenda Rainbolt Penix; his son Tommy Lee Penix Church (Laura); his granddaughter Catherine Camille; his brother Roy Lee Penix, Jr. (Jeanette); his children, Scottie, James and Becky; and his granddaughter Brandie. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Elizabethton Carter County Animal Shelter.
