“Casey was a beautiful soul and a great lover of music. It was one of her goals in life to have regular jazz in Elizabethton, and we dedicated the Jazz Nights at the Bonnie Kate Theater to her. They were her idea. She was often in attendance at our Wellingtons jazz jams and the Johnson City Jazz Festival. I played at several of her parties. Trumpeter Alex Leonard composed a song for her the day he learned of her passing, and his band played it that night at the theater. Bill Perkins 423 737 8930”
