Jones; his grandchildren, Thorne Potter (Kendall Blackston Potter), Darby Humphreys (Heather Ferrell Humphreys), Izzie Humphreys Honeycutt (Jesse Honeycutt) and Madyln Garrison Torres (Sael Torres); his stepgrandchildren, Amanda Smith, Jaime Wright, Brandon Humphreys and Seanna Larkins; his great grandchildren, Briar, Hazel Potter and Bridgette Honeycutt; his siblings, Darrell Garrison, Jerry Eugene and Helen Humphreys; his siblings-in-law, Bonnie McKinney Eads, Karen Grubbs McKinney, Martha Garrison, David McKinney, Larry Eads and Tommy Humphreys; his nieces, Tami Eads Seybert and Jaime Eads Peterson; his stepniece Kelli Montgomery; his nephews, Rocky Humphreys, Ricky Garrison, Calan and Carson McKinney; his children-in-law, Nancy Garrison and Karl Joplin; and his niece Amelia Castellanos.

Instead, he would rather people donate to the Elizabethton High School Athletics Department.
