He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Byrd and Joan Mottern Byrd. He is survived by: his wife Kaye Ingram Byrd; his brother Dr. David Byrd; his sister-in-law Dr. Jenny Byrd of Athens, TN; and his sibling's children, Will Byrd and Katie Byrd.

The family requests those wishing to make a donation in memory of Bill may donate to the Building Fund of Valley Forge Freewill Baptist Church, 1502 Riverview Drive, Elizabethton, TN 37643.
