He was predeceased by: his parents, Jess Greer and Nettie Troutman Greer; his wife Mary Nell; his siblings, Jack Greer and Bertha Pealer; his stepmother Allene Greer; his stepsiblings, Noah Francis, Tommy Francis, Lamira Slagle and Elizabeth Royston; and his great grandchild Grace Vittetoe.

He is survived by: his children, Kenny Greer (Vickie) and Kathy Greear (Randy); his grandchildren, Wes Greer (Mandy), Aaron Greer (Julie), Jessica Sutherland (Thomas) and Kim Vittetoe (Allen); his great grandchildren, Riley Greer, Hadley Greer, William Greer, Grady Greer, Greear Vittetoe, Grayson Vittetoe and Brycen Greer; his stepbrother Orlis Francis (Jean); and his siblings-in-law, Lucy Greer, Eula Lee Grindstaff, Erma Barker and Ray Scholl.
