He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Harris and Frances Freeman Harris; his brother Bobby Joe Harris (Connie Reagan Harris); his grandparents, Robert (Bob), Hattie Evans Freeman, George and Miranda McConkey Harris; his nephews, Michael Edward Harris and Adam Troy McConkey; his niece Kala Marie McConkey; and his brothers-in-law, James Bowers (Jay), Jack Nichols, Chester Watson and Kenneth Murphy.
He is survived by: his siblings, Gladys Bowers, Louise Murphy, Lola Watson, Helen Newberry (Mike), Juanita Buckner (Ralph), Lorida Burke (Jimmy), Diann Nichols, Alford Harris (Linda), Edward Harris (Judy), Howard Harris (Laura) and Ralph Harris; and his close friend Curtis Land. He is also survived by thirty-one nieces and nephews, many great nieces and nephews.
