She was predeceased by: her husbands, J. C. Kincannon Jr. and Don Gibson; her grandson Ronald Heath Patterson; her parents, Oscar Carter and Charlsie Fox Carter; and her siblings, Louie Carter, Joe Carter, Tommy Carter, Dewayne Carter, Juanelle Carter and Robbie Carter.

She is survived by: her children, Judy Emerson (Bill), Karen Patterson (Ronnie), Michael Kincannon and Randy Kincannon (Yvonne); her grandchildren, Jennifer Lynn Emerson Brookhart (Mike), Brandi Favaloro (Chris), Candice Patterson Gonzalez (Salvador), Josh Kincannon (Danielle), Aaron Kincannon and Micah Kincannon; and her siblings, Joyce Pritchett, Clifford Carter (Wanda) and Harvey Carter (Brenda). She is also survived by 11 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins and other loved family and friends.
