He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Derrick and Velma Derrick; his sister Brenda Derrick; and his father-in-law Archie Blair. He is survived by: his wife Jeannette Derrick; his daughters, Kelly (Michael Stephens) and Kristin (Lee McCormack); his grandchildren, Jakob McCormack, Ashlynn Stephens, Kameryn Morgan (William), Mattie Stephens and Jaxon McCormack; his mother-in-law Betty Blair; Roger, Janice Masingale, Steve and Kay Blair.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 16th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (13 Church St, Englewood, TN 37329). A funeral service was held on Sunday, November 16th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A reception was held on Monday, November 17th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Bordwine Funeral Home (203 Ohio Ave, Etowah, TN 37331). A committal service was held on Monday, November 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Mars Hill Cemetery (496 Co Rd 500, Englewood, TN 37329).
