He was predeceased by: his parents, Carlton Hughes and Elizabeth Adams Hughes; his grandson Adam Hughes; and his brother Bobby Hughes. He is survived by: his wife Kathy Hughes; and his sons, Terry Hughes (Shanna), Jimmy Hughes (Angie) and Josh Hughes (Stacee). He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 5:00 PM at 595 Gin Hollow Road, Erin, TN 37061.
