With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Barbara Fassler in Erwin, Tennessee, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 14, 2026 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Barbara departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Barbara. Though Barbara may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Smith and Roberta Mitchell Wingo; and her brother Delton Roger Wingo. She is survived by: her children, Len Fassler and Elizabeth Fassler Alexander; her son-in-law Michael James Alexander; and her grandchildren, Tristan, Jacob and Madalyn Griffith.
In lieu of flowers, the family is accepting contributions to help cover final expenses.
