Billy left this world on December 3, 2025 at the age of 89, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Bascom Whitson and Emmaline Jones Whitson; and his siblings, Brown, Bobby, Tommy Whitson, Mae Steadman, Mary Ellen Kennedy and Virginia "Jenny" Brotherton.
He is survived by: his wife Imelda Pajarilla Whitson; his children, William Whitson (Becky), Michael Whitson, Joy Harrod and Bob David Whitson; his brothers, Benny Whitson (Tammy) and Timothy Whitson (Saundra); and his mother-in-law Primetive Pajarilla. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Robert Ledford Funeral Home and Chapel (720 Ohio Ave, Erwin, TN 37650). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location. A committal service will be held on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Mountain Home National Cemetery (Mountain Home, TN 37684).
