It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carolyn Wells Tipton in Erwin, Tennessee, born in Princeton, Kentucky, who passed away on February 3, 2026, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, James E. Wells and Cortnie Ramey Wells. She is survived by: her husband Terry W. Tipton of Erwin, Tennessee; her sister Nancy Wells Brown (Douglas J.) of Brentwood, Tennessee; her nieces, Rebecca Wells Brown and Virginia Brown Crum (Michael F.); her nephew Douglas Wells Brown; her great-niece Cortnie Rebecca Crum; her great-nephew James F. Crum; her pet Benji; and her caregivers, Lisa McNeely, Kayla McNeely, Judy Miller, Courtney Franklin, Kathy Wingo and Carolyn.
