He was predeceased by: his parents, Fitzhugh Deaton and Cansadia Edwards Deaton; and his sisters, Nola, Margie, Joyce, Virginia and Ila.
He is survived by: his daughter Candace Deaton (Ashley) of Tampa, FL; and his siblings, Inez Chandler of Erwin, Charlotte McCurry of Erwin and Gene Deaton (Joan) of Elilzabethton. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Mount Pleasant Cemetery (596 Clear Branch Rd, Erwin, TN 37650).
