Eleanor Rose Black Grindstaff Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Eleanor Rose Black Grindstaff (Erwin, Tennessee), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 30, 2025 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Louis Black and Margaret Ford Black; her husband Robert Grindstaff; her son David; and her sister Irma Barnett.
She is survived by: her children, Robert Grindstaff (Ana) of Little Elm, Jeffery (Angie) of Knoxville and Debbie (Gaylon) of Erwin; her grandchildren, James Armstrong (Stephanie), Wyatt Armstrong, Matt Grindstaff, Chad Grindstaff (April), Santiago Grindstaff, Jonathan Grindstaff (Jessica), Caleb Grindstaff (Angel), Ayla Abrams (Kyle), Victoria Hijer (Sami) and Chelsea Farmer (Jonathan); her siblings, Joyce Peterson, Janie Payne (Phil), Joann Begley and Rick Reed (Cindy); her family, Connie, Charlie, Chance Miller and Dr Charles; her close friend Tyrell Anders; and her daughter Janice Stephenson (Jon).
In lieu of flowers she would like donations to be made to Delbert -Matthews House and to the Evergreen youth Department.
