He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl L. Hilemon and Katherine Morrow Hilemon; his children, Annette Hilemon, Sandra Jean Hilemon and Michael Alan Hilemon; his siblings, Sammie Hilemon, Lee Roy Hilemon and Magdaline Nancy Stiles; his parents-in-law, John A. and Arlene; his grandmother McInturff; and his close friends, Frank Higgins and Bill Newman.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy A. McInturff Hilemon; his son John G. Hilemon (Anjanette); his grandson John G. Hilemon, II (Meredith); his brother Ronnie Hilemon (Kathy); his sister-in-law Linda Hilemon; his cousin Freddie (Fran Deakins); and his close friends, Fred Horning (Stella), Harry, Shirley Britt, Robert, Donna Adams and Frieda Newman. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Robert Ledford Funeral Home and Chapel (720 Ohio Ave, Erwin, TN 37650). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 at the Evergreen Cemetery (1100 7th St, Erwin, TN 37650).
