With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Gerald Chandler of Erwin, Tennessee, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 16, 2025 at the age of 95. He was predeceased by: his parents, Jehu Carmon Chandler and Rebecca Susan Farnor Chandler; and his siblings, Lawrence Chandler and Alma Becker. He is survived by: his wife Inez Deaton Chandler; his children, Gail Tilson (Wayne) of Erwin, Geraldine "Geri" Rice (Coy) of Lebanon and Jeff Chandler (Lupe) of Erwin; his grandchildren, Amy Williamson (Adam), Amanda Widrig (Michael), Adam Tilson, Matthew Rice (Shelby Chaplin), Gabriel Chandler (Hannah) and Jacob Chandler; and his siblings, Dale Chandler of Cary, NC and Ruth Gonce of Greeneville. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
