Howard Buchanan Obituary
We announce the death of Howard Buchanan of Erwin, Tennessee, who passed away on August 23, 2026, at the age of 87. Howard will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Taylor Buchanan and Lassie Miller Buchanan; his daughter Kathy Buchanan Byrd; and his sister Verna Foster. He is survived by: his wife Louise Tolley Buchanan; his children, Janet Ambrose (Gary) of Erwin, Debbie Lamie (Danny) of Erwin and Shane Buchanan (Kristy) of Erwin; his grandchildren, Kali Byrd, Devan Lamie, Kerstin and Karson Buchanan; and his sisters, Vadith Blankenship, Jean Mae and Betty Anglin. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
