He was predeceased by: his wife Lena Jo Gardner (Thompson). He is survived by: his children, Mary Jo Sullins (Gardner), Andy Gardner, Carol Grace Moorhouse (Jeff) and Sally Ann Sneyd (Gardner); his great grandchild Hank; his siblings, Peggy Bays (Don) and Tony Gardner (Jenny); and his sisters-in-law, Nancy Gardner, Teresa Gardner and Mary Gardner. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 30th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the First Christian Church - Erwin (307 S Main Ave, Erwin, TN 37650). A committal service will be held on Saturday, October 31st 2026 at 10:55 AM at the Roselawn Memory Gardens (3033 S Roan St, Johnson City, TN 37601). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 31st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Jack's name to First Christian Church, 307 S. Main Ave., Erwin, TN 37650.
