It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lucille Lawing of Erwin, Tennessee, born in Red Ash, Virginia, who passed away on September 19, 2023, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, E. S. Cordle and Mary Stillwell Cordel; and her husband William Lawing. She is survived by : her daughter Ruby Bailey; her grandson David Lawing of Erwin; and her siblings, Charles Cordle (June), Thomas Cordle, Frank Cordle, Laura Furches and Annie Fleenor.
