With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Marvin Eugene Kegley (Erwin, Tennessee), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Wade, Ada Kegley (Allen), Walter and Polly Gillis (Engle); his parents, Thero Kegley and Emma Caroline Kegley (Gillis); his in-laws, Albert and Mildred Honeycutt (Harris); his sister Elizabeth Gilmore; his sister-in-law Cathy Stancil; his brothers, Lopez, Noel and Farrell Kegley; his brothers-in-law, Harley Stancil, James Gilmore, Don Halas and Clay Rogers; and his nieces, Dottie Lou Gilmore and Brandy Stancil.
He is survived by: his son Wade Kegley Jr.; his wife Doris Honeycutt Kegley; his daughter Nicole Kegley-Garland (Anthony); his grandchildren, Seth Kegley Luccas, Emma Elizabeth Kegley, Carolyne Grace Kegley and Karris Isabella Kegley; his sisters, Dorothy Rogers, Margaret Halas and Darlene Lewis (Gary); and his nephew Chad Stancil.
Visitation was held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Unicoi Funeral Home (4428 Unicoi Dr, Unicoi, TN 37692). A funeral service was held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A committal service was held on Friday, June 13th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Mountain Home National Cemetery (Mountain Home, TN 37684).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Marvin's memory to Fishery Community Church, 501 Fishery Community Church Road, Erwin, TN 37650.
