He was predeceased by: his wife Fern Rose Hodgson Simmons; and his father James Earl Simmons. He is survived by: his siblings, Greg Simmons (Tammy) of Erwin and Tracey Edwards (Ricky) of Erwin; and his friend Jeff Couch (Karen). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
