She was predeceased by : her parents, Hugh Moody and Myrtle Palmer Moody; her husband Joseph "Wayne" Hicks; and her brother-in-law Basil Blackburn. She is survived by : her children, Sherry Tilson (Steve) and David Hicks; her grandchildren, Clay McNabb (Whitney), Chase McNabb, Cole Tilson, Matthew Hicks (Jessica) and Kayla Barker (Chris); her great grandchildren, Brady McNabb, Anna McNabb, Ellie McNabb and Corbin Barker; her sister Phyllis Blackburn; and her nephews, Brian Blackburn and Chad Blackburn (Mandy).

A burial was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 at 10:50 AM. A graveside service was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Roselawn Memory Gardens (3033 S Roan St, Johnson City, TN 37601).
