She was predeceased by: her parents, R. H. Hensley and Beverly Barnett Hensley; her son James Ashley "Jamie" Lingerfelt; her grandparents, Reverend Richmond, Emily Barnett and Belle Hensley; her brother Greg Hensley; and her sister-in-law Imogene Thomas.
She is survived by: her husband Grady Lingerfelt; her daughters, Lisa Lingerfelt of Erwin and Julie Little (Chris) of Jonesborough; her grandchildren, Jacob Frazier, Carly Baxter, Jared Little (Allyson) and Arielle Sheehan (Sam); her siblings-in-law, Charlyne Griffith (Clyde), Phyllis Coffey (Lawrence), Marilyn Ayers (Bob) and Bill Lingerfelt (Shirley); her cousins, Elizabeth Willis, Debi Woods and Doug Bowman; and her close friends, Donna Coffie, Bandy Tester Sides, Brenda Mashburn, Martha Horton, Ernestine Hatcher and Rowan Morgan. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
