She was predeceased by: her parents, Allen T. Armstrong and Linnie Louise Bolden Armstrong; her husbands, Hoy Brown Garrett and David Tant; and her daughter Peggy Ann Garrett Calcut.
She is survived by: her sons, Darrell Garrett of Estill Springs and Phillip Garrett (Tracy) of Taylor, Michigan. She is also survived by fifteen grandchildren; thirty-one great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.
