He was predeceased by: his father James O. Ashby Jr.; his niece Kacey Nicole Chasteen; his father-in-law Clifford Hunt; and his brother-in-law Clifton Hunt. He is survived by: his wife Sueann Ashby; his mother Peggy Burt Ashby; his children, Amber Ashby (Dusty Sanders), Logan Michael Ashby (Mercedes Hillis), Tiffany Stephens and Tyler Hill; his grandchildren, Meah Sanders, Malaki Stephens, Samuel Stephens, Noah Stephens, Carly Hill and Caleb Hill; his siblings, Stacey Chasteen (Kerry) and Bryan Ashby (Sarah); his mother-in-law Ann Hunt; and his sister-in-law Jill Haney (Doug). He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 20th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Moore-Cortner Funeral Home (300 1st Ave NW, Winchester, TN 37398). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, July 20th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
