He was predeceased by : his parents, Gregory Moore and Scyllar Hughes Moore; his former life partner Betty Ruth Brown Moore; his siblings, Pauline Gobble, Katherine Jackson, Evelyn Horne, Dorothy Allen, Frances Russell, Roy Moore and Butch Moore; and his grandson Cameron McKissack.

He is survived by : his wife Reba McKissack Moore; his children, Grady Kelsey Moore, Jr., Randall Lee Moore (Cheryl), Timothy Wade Moore and Pamela Rose McClatchy; his grandchildren, Shawn Farnsworth, Jason Farnsworth, Jeremy Allen Moore and Brittany Anne Moore; his great grandchildren, Owen Farnsworth and Lauren Farnsworth; his children, Wayne McKissack (Rebecca), Gary McKissack (Kay) and Sharon Mashburn (Ricky); his grandchildren, Chris McKissack (Laura), Brandon McKissack (Ashley), Courtney Willis (Daniel), Mariana Dickey (Ryan) and Myles Mashburn; his great grandchildren, Aubree McKissack, Alyson McKissack, Coleden McKissack, Blakley McKissack, Bentley McKissack, Slade McKissack, Kruz McKissack and Henry Dickey; and his sister Joan Allen.

The family suggests memorials be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
