He was predeceased by: his wife Wilma Jean Kincaid Bledsoe; his daughter Virginia Lynn Bledsoe; his parents, Ira Bledsoe and Winnie Bledsoe; and his siblings, Edith Nichols, Gerlean Grisham, Margaret Roberson, Cleo Russell, Ira Allen Bledsoe, Zelphia Eller, Brenda Green, John Kile Bledsoe and Viola Bledsoe.
He is survived by: his son Mike; his daughter-in-law Cathy Bledsoe; his daughters, Kathy Bledsoe and Lisa (Greg Rickman); his grandchildren, Gerri Le Cantrell (Jessica), Matt Allen (Gena), Michael Shirk (Logan Rickman) and Kailee Rickman (Tim Hicks); his great grandchildren, Logan Bell, Landon Shirk, Maddy Lynn Shirk, Ramsey Hancock, Jamen Cantrell, Jones Cantrell, Lane Shirk, Millie Kate Shirk, Jaycee Hicks and Sophie Hicks; his brothers-in-law, Joe Ben Kincaid and Steve Kincaid; Julie Taulbee, Lisa Peck and Ashley Justice.

A reception was held on Sunday, October 18th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Bordwine Funeral Home (203 Ohio Ave, Etowah, TN 37331). A procession was held on Sunday, October 18th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Green Hill Cemetery (1820 US-411, Etowah, TN 37331).
