He is survived by: his wife Brenda Ellen Barnett Gaston; his children, Charles Anthony "Tony" (Kajsa Gaston), Craig Wendell Gaston and Traci (Scott Forrest); his grandchildren, Nathan (Ashley Woody), Nicky Woody (Amanda), Gaston Woody, Kyler (Lori Gaston), Cassandra (Zach Webb), Chloe (Ethan Routson) and Tavyn Gaston; his great grandchildren, Bella, Bricen, Mason, River, Memphis, Tatum, Ellee and Abel; his brother Larry; his sister-in-law Jacquilyn Gaston; his sister Susie Gaston; his siblings-in-law, Kathy JoAnn "Kitti" Gaston and Roy Trew; and his close friend Tommy Hooper. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
