Gary Rice Obituary
Gary "G.". Rice, age 76, passed away October 31, 2021 at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center, Knoxville, TN. He was full of life and compassionate about people he worked and lived around. Gary always put others first; his generosity knew no bounds. He had Christ first in his life and then his family. Gary was a retired Electrical Technician from PG&E and a proud veteran of the US Navy.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Alonzo and Cecilia Rice; sister, Lillian Elizabeth Burns. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Joan Rice of Etowah; daughter, Tracy Marie Rice (Enciso); daughter and son-in-law, Joy Christina (Darin Michael) Elliott of Etowah; son and daughter-in-law, Gary Paul (Kapri Ann) Rice of Santa Maria, CA; brother and sister-in-law, LeRoy "Butch" (Jody) Baker of Llano, CA; sister, Suzy Johnson of Jonesboro, TN; brother and sister-in-law, Alonzo Marvin (Linda) Rice, Jr. of Kerrville, TX; 9 grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and many friends.
Family and friends will assemble on Monday, November 15th, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. for service and interment at Chattanooga National Cemetery with full military honors.
