He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold "Creepy" Cox and Margie Strickland Cox; his siblings, Robert Gregory Cox and Cathy Landers; and his parents-in-law, Paul and Grace Goodman.
He is survived by: his wife Paula Goodman Cox; his children, Brett (Jody Cox), Samatha (Billy Manis) and Wendy (John Vercher); his grandchildren, Gracie, Emma Manis, Alex, Ben, Braden Couch, Adin Cox, Jason Royal and Emily (Tyler Boring); his great grandchild Addie Royal; his siblings, Eddie (Debra Cox), Rodney (Margaret Cox), Mark (Kim Cox) and Rebecca "Wheatie"; his siblings-in-law, Johnny Morgan, Tim, Cheryl Goodman, Bill, Becky Goodman and Tommy Goodman; and his close friends, Gene Smith, David Passmore and Johnny Cox. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
