He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Everett Bruce Ray of Ellijay, GA and Alice Louise Alder Ray of Swedens Cove; his brother John Bruce Ray of Chattanooga; his wife Frances McCamish Ray of Virginia; his son Michael; his daughter-in-law Rebecca Ray; his grandsons, Chandler McCamish and William Grant Ray; his sister Carolyn Jean Kirkland of Birmingham, AL; and his sister-in-law Ruth Ray of Navarro, FL. He was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
