He was predeceased by : his parents, Dock Melton and Mattie Melton; and his siblings, Allene Stewart (Parnick), Dewight and Spencer Melton.
He is survived by : his wife Carlotta "Patterson" Melton; his son Heath Melton (Kristina); his grandchildren, Paige Melton and Robin McManaman (Logan); his brothers, Hoyt Melton (Shirley) and Jim Melton (Patricia); and his sisters-in-law, Jessie Melton and Kitoria Martin. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
