It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Stone of Etowah, Tennessee, born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, who passed away on September 30, 2025, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his son Mark Stone; and his parents, James Martin Stone and Louetta Cornish Stone. He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Jean Stone of Etowah; his brothers, Billy Stone (Patricia) of Rockwood, Jerry Stone of Kingston and Perry Stone (Mary Lynn) of Kingston; his niece Christine Burnette (Randy) of Kingston, Special; Drew Doughty and Amanda McCall.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Paint Rock Baptist Church (1510 Loudon Hwy, Philadelphia, TN 37846). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 at the same location.
