He was predeceased by: his parents, Owen Stone and Ethel Stone; and his siblings, Ruth, K. C. Loftis, Anna Mae, Herman Studdard, Elizabeth, Ruben (Fannie), Parnick (Paula), Hubert "Tub", Roy (Sue) and Jarvis Stone.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Stone; his children, Rebecca, Avery Torbett, Chris and Cathie Stone; his stepson Brandon (Micca Terrell); his grandchildren, Autumn (Chandler Rollo), Travis (Trish Cavitt), Melissa Cavitt and Zoe Terrell (Kirby Terrell); his great grandchildren, Justice Rollo, Mahayla Looney, Makaya and Ariel Wilson; his brother Ray; his sisters-in-law, Hazel Stone and Eva Jean Stone; and his close friend Frank Barton. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
