He was predeceased by: his parents, Retha Shankle and Bob Shankle; and his siblings, Grace Locke, Timmy Shankle and Deidre (Patrick Ensley).
He is survived by: his son Nicholas (Jordan Shankle); his granddaughter Cassiel Fernandez-Shankle; his daughter Leslie Shankle-Frye; the parent of his children Lanetta Frye; his siblings, Denise "Zebbie" (David Discepoli), Bob (Yvonne Shankle) and Kem (Rickey Taylor); his siblings' children, Jessi Brown, Tabitha Conner, Nicki Curtis, Greg Discepoli, Joseph Shankle, Bobby Shankle, Kyle Shankle, Aaron Shankle, Anna Mae Shankle and K. C. Taylor; and his friend Homer "Johnny" Taylor.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, December 28th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Poole Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Etowah (300 Tennessee Ave, Etowah, TN 37331).
