He was predeceased by : his parents, Joseph Elzer and Christine Elzer (Markham); his sons, William Elzer, Jr. and Kenneth Elzer; his sister Barbara Henrick; his siblings-in-law, John DeMatty, Phil Defino and Evelyn Keller (Chuck); and his parents-in-law, John and Evelyn DeMatty (Shallenberger).
He is survived by : his wife Shirley; his children, Deborah Lightfoot (Richard) and Gregory Elzer (Debra); his sister Darlene Gallagher (James); his daughters-in-law, Angela Elzer and Brenda Elzer; and his siblings-in-law, Sally Defino and Paul Henrick. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren.
