We announce the death of Mattie Marie Cothran in Fairview, Tennessee, born in Rutherford, Tennessee, who passed away on August 19, 2026, at the age of 94. Mattie will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Buford and Rhoda V. Pinkston. She is survived by: her children, Debbie Wynne (Ron), Bobby Cothran (Faye) and Connie Cothran. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; along with a host of other family members and friends.

Visitation was held on Monday, August 24th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, August 25th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Cremation Center (9090 TN-100, Nashville, TN 37221). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, August 25th 2026 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, August 25th 2026 at 12:30 PM at the same location.
