He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert McConnell and Jane McConnell; his son-in-law Gary Taylor; and his brother Tom McConnell. He is survived by: his wife Faye McConnell; his children, Linne Taylor and Al McConnell; his grandchildren, Whitney Taylor, Mallory Allen (Andrew) and Aly Ward; and his great grandchildren, Rylie, Hudson, Millie, Turner, Asher and Cash. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 5th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes - Kingsport (117 E Charlemont Ave, Kingsport, TN 37660). A committal service was held on Friday, December 5th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
