He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Slagle and Gladys Slagle; and his brother Ken Slagle. He is survived by: his wife Gaye Slagle; his daughter Brooke Jamieson; his son-in-law Rick Jamieson; and his nephew Stephen Slagle.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Easy Street Animal Shelter in Saint Jo, TX where David volunteered alongside his daughter, or to Nana's Place in Pottsboro, TX.
