He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Hughes and Grace Hughes (Monahan); and his brothers, Joseph and Henry Hughes. He is survived by: his wife Anne Hughes (Cunnane); his children, Paul Hughes (Danielle), Brian Hughes (Chrissy), Michael Hughes (Susan), Elizabeth Hughes (Lori) and Timothy Hughes (Erin); his grandchildren, Christian Verges (Brianna), Elizabeth Van Nostrand, Michael Hughes (Lisa), Jessica Howard (Caleb), Kathleen Van Nostrand, Emily Hughes, Sarah Hughes, Adam Van Nostrand, Connor Hughes (Nicole), Madeline Hughes and Martine Hughes; his great grandchildren, Penelope Howard, Pauline Howard and Owen Verges; and his siblings, Robert Hughes (Mary) and Virginia Robillard (Joseph).
