He is survived by: his daughters, Lereca Swinford (Tony), Lorie Hicks and Christy Painter; his grandchildren, Courtney Barnes, Quinn Lindsey, Kelsi Painter, DeWayna Shelton (Phil), Kirsten Lowe (Brad) and Destiny Hughes (Ryan); his great grandchildren, Kenlee Parks, Bentlee Cannon, Avery Shelton, Karson Barnes, Carter Lindsey, Chandler Lowe, Trenton Lowe and Cohen Owens Lindsey; and his siblings, Frances Rollins, Shirley Kennedy, Sandra Baker (Ronnie), Sheila Manley, Deonna Ashby, Claude Hicks, Jr., David Ashby and Ricky Ashby (Debbie).
Visitation was held on Wednesday, July 9th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home (508 W College St, Murfreesboro, TN 37130). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, July 9th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
