She was predeceased by: her parents, James E. Gordy and Nell Harper Gordy; her daughter Sheri Lee Thompson Woodall of Greensboro, NC; and her sister Lynne Gordy Shaffer Fello of Huntsville, Alabama.. She is survived by: her husband Homer Thompson of Fayetteville; her son Christopher Scott Thompson of Bacliff, Texas; her grandchildren, Cameron Scott Thompson of Newport News, Virginia, KiLee Chase Thompson and Robert Colby Thompson of League City, Texas; her sister Anne Harper of Huntsville, Alabama; Cayson Scott Thompson of Newport News, Virginia. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and a host of special friends and neighbors.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Fayetteville Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 1015 Lewisburg Hwy, Fayetteville, TN 37334.
