He was predeceased by: his parents, Garland Levi and Ethel Holley Poarch; his former wife Brenda Poarch; his wife Patricia Poarch; his stepsons, James McCoy and David McCoy; and his siblings, Mary Frame, Joan Leatherwood, Sue Hobbs, James Poarch and Bill Poarch.
He is survived by: his stepchildren, Tammy Brown (Ralph), Melvin McCoy, Glen Clements (Sallyann), Terri Lamon (Rick), Vicki McMillin (Paul) and Kim Davis (Chris); and his sisters, Cleta Jean Sheehan, Janice Gentry (Danny) and Linda Wilcox. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and step-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home (508 W College St, Murfreesboro, TN 37130). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
